Chipotle Chilli Sauce
This as an amazing condiment to have with any mexican style meal. Not 1 for those who dont like it HOT! If you can get your hands on tomatillo tomatoes as well as this this condiment you will really believe your in the heart of Mexico.
You can make the a sweet chilli sace by adding a tsp of brown sugar or rice syrup for those of us clean eating.
Ingredients
- Chipotle paste - 2 tbsps
- Fresh coriander - 1 tbsp
- Garlic (optional) - 1 small clove
- Water - 2 tbsps
- Fresh chilli - 1/4 tsp
Instructions
- Lets prep the fresh stuff!! Crush your garlic, microplane is best. Finely chop your coriander and chilli. I use habanero straight from my garden. Feel free to leave this out as it can really be hot hot hot, or substitute with some Tabasco or sambal oelek. The garlic is truly optional. Im clean eating at the moment so I add it as Im not having the packet spice mixes.
- Add all ingredients together and give it a good mix. I find it easiest to put in all in a small jar and shake shake, shake shake it!
We serve this with the Mexican Pulled Beef and Nellers Nachos. Also great with some wedges and as a replacement sweet chilli sauce.
